Dielectric Mirror- Case Study of a Neglected Phenomenon

When it comes to gaining knowledge, there are a slew of things that come to mind that need to be studied and analyzed but the problem is that one lifetime isn’t enough to gobble up everything and it doesn’t help that the current generation is too busy with their personal lives to be bothered about anything else.

This does not necessarily mean that they are not aware of their surroundings or what all is going on in the world because they are cleverer and more focused compared to the previous generation but the credit for that has to go to the social media domination.

There is an old saying that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and none can understand it better than your near and dear ones who love you based on your inner beauty rather than the outer one but a mirror only shows the outer part and not the inner one.

Basics

Everyone is aware of what a mirror is because most people are obsessed with their looks and wants to appear attractive and be the cynosure of all eyes but how many of you are aware about the dielectric mirror?

A dielectric mirror is defined as a mirror type that has many thin and thick layers surrounding its surface from all sides made from dielectric material but first let us be clear with the term dielectric before moving on.

Dielectric is used in the electric field where two or more insulators can be polarized when passing through a strong electrical current but the flow is not the same as when passing through an electric conductor but the shift in their position causes a dielectric polarization.

Dielectric mirror depends on the theory of light interference where two different waves from the opposite ends of the spectrum into a linear system to form a bigger wave of different amplitude to match the features of the theory so that it can be magnified for better prospects.

The frequency of the dielectric mechanism always comes into play whenever there are two or more atoms colliding amongst each other to produce constant waves that are a part of the game.

Everlasting

Dielectric Mirrors are an important case study that comprises nearly 60% of the optics field and researchers are still trying to find out more and more about it with many of them going to great lengths to analyze the strength of waves by passing it through a fuse conductor.

However, scientists are divided in this matter as about half of them feel that this dielectric mirror can be used in the sound field for creating sonic vibrations with matching wavelengths while the other half aren’t too confident about its future and feel that it would fizzle out in the coming decade or so.

Whatever the arguments maybe, it goes without saying that these mirrors are everlasting because there is still extensive research going on about it where experts aren’t giving up hope and it is this optimism that gives them the confidence to make best of the available situation.
